In January, we at Eurobattery Minerals have been busy with our rights issue and we are pleased with the results. The final outcome in the rights issue of approximately SEK 29.3 million shows that 28,288,738 units were subscribed for, corresponding to a subscription rate of approximately 77.3 per cent. The net proceeds will, among other things, be used for development of Eurobattery Minerals\u00b4 battery mineral mine project Hautalampi.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

New member of the Eurobattery Minerals Board<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Late December 2023, Eckhard Cordes was appointed as new board member in Eurobattery Minerals after an extraordinary general meeting. Eckhard Cordes is a highly regarded business leader in Europe and his experience will bring a lot of valuable insights and industry knowledge to Eurobattery Minerals, among other things. His previous positions include various executive roles such as CEO of the Mercedes Car Group and Member of the executive board of Daimler, and Board member of SKF, Rheinmetall, and Volvo AB. Currently, he serves as Partner at Cevian Capital and EMERAM Capital Partners, as well as the Chairman of the Board at Bilfinger SE. We at Eurobattery Minerals are happy to onboard such an important European business leader!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving forward with the\u00a0environmental permitting process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At our flagship project, the battery mineral mine Hautalampi, we are currently focusing on the environmental permit and have an agreement with Astrock Oy to proceed with the borehole probing and geophysical interpretation to the next phase. This consists high level geophysical sounding and a continuous high-resolution oriented images and video of the borehole walls. These results give us access to more detailed information on the shear zones physical appearance and dimensions in the Hautalampi area. The data will give us great confidence to geotechnical and hydrogeological conclusions and rock quality analysis. This is important for Eurobattery Minerals in the environmental permitting process for the Hautalampi mine project! Our work to start mining strategically important battery minerals continues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eurobattery Minerals featured in German documentary<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the Covid-19 pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, we have gone from globalisation to deglobalisation, geopolitical tensions and broken supply chains. This is highlighted in \u201cBattle for the world \u2013 Germany and the globalisation\u201d, a documentary film where Eurobattery Minerals is featured, alongside a range of important policymakers and stakeholders on a European and global level. The documentary has been produced by the German public-service television broadcaster ZDF \u2013 one of Europe\u00b4s biggest TV channels \u2013 and shows that there is a real risk that our future will be totally in the hands of autocratic states when it comes to raw materials. In essence, it\u00b4s a really good documentary if you are interested in understanding the role of Eurobattery Minerals as a provider of responsibly mined battery minerals and for the Green Transition in the EU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
