Eurobattery Minerals\u2019 Finnish subsidiary, FinnCobalt, has signed an agreement with global technology leader ABB to explore innovative solutions for more sustainable mining. The collaboration will focus on using cutting-edge technologies\u2014such as electrification, instrumentation, automation, and digitalization (EIAD)<\/a>\u2014to make mining more efficient, safer, and environmentally friendly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a first step, ABB will conduct a study to assess how these technologies can be applied to FinnCobalt\u2019s mining operations. The goal is to create a modern, responsible mining model that reduces environmental impact while improving productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eurobattery Minerals\u2019 Finnish subsidiary, FinnCobalt, has applied for up to \u20ac2.5 million in funding through the\u00a0ERMA Booster Call 2025<\/a>. This EU-backed initiative aims to strengthen Europe\u2019s access to essential raw materials, reducing reliance on imports and supporting the green transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, just reaching this stage highlights the project\u2019s significance in securing responsibly sourced minerals for Europe\u2019s green transition.

Mining Boost Breakfast with Nasdaq Nordic in Helsinki<\/strong>
Our Finnish Managing Director Ilari Kinnunen pitched the Hautalampi battery mineral project at Nasdaq Nordic Mining Boost Breakfast in Helsinki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Presentation in 400 seconds – a flying start to the day at the Nasdaq Nordic Mining Boost Breakfast<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

He had the opportunity to present FinnCobalt Oy and Eurobattery Minerals AB at this event, organized by Mining Finland<\/a> and Nasdaq Nordic<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In total, eight companies did a rapid fire presentation of their project. The event used a very \u201cdynamic\u201d presentation style: PechaKucha 20×20 format\u201420 slides with 20 seconds each. A fast-paced pitch in 400 seconds to promote our mission to supply Europe with responsibly mined critical raw materials for batteries. \u26a1\ufe0f\u26a1\ufe0f\u26a1\ufe0f<\/p>\n\n\n\n
