People, safety and wellbeing
People come first
At Eurobattery Minerals, people come first. The health, safety and wellbeing of everyone working at or with our projects are fundamental values that guide our behaviour, leadership and daily decisions.
No task, deadline or production target is so important that it justifies risking injury or compromising dignity. We believe that all accidents and injuries can and must be prevented.
Safety as a shared responsibility
Safety is a core value and a shared responsibility. Every individual has both the authority and the obligation to stop unsafe work. Unsafe behaviour is not accepted, and we apply zero tolerance towards actions that put people at risk.
A strong safety culture is built on awareness, openness and mutual care. We expect everyone to act responsibly, speak up when something is not right and contribute to a safe working environment.
- All accidents and injuries are preventable
- We have zero tolerance towards unsafe behaviour
- Each activity has a Safety Leader, but safety is everyone’s responsibility
- Everyone has both the authority and responsibility to stop unsafe work
- No action is so important that it cannot be done safely
- Targets, hurry, deadlines, or costs never justify risk-taking
Respect, dignity and fair working conditions
Responsible mining is equally about how people are treated. We are committed to respecting human rights and promoting fair, safe and respectful working conditions throughout our organisation and value chain.
We apply zero tolerance towards child labour, forced labour, exploitation, harassment or discrimination. Equality, diversity and inclusion are essential parts of a respectful workplace where everyone is treated with dignity.
“Responsible mining is not only about environmental performance or technology — it is about people. Europe’s strong labour protections and respect for human rights are what distinguish responsible European mining from many other regions. This is the foundation on which a credible and just sustainability transition must be built.”
Roberto García Martínez, CEO, Eurobattery Minerals AB
Responsibility beyond compliance
Our commitment to people, safety and human rights goes beyond legal compliance. It is reflected in everyday behaviour, leadership and accountability. Responsible mining requires not only technical competence, but also integrity, fairness and respect for people.
