Moving forward with the environmental permitting process
At our flagship project, the battery mineral mine Hautalampi, we are currently focusing on the environmental permit and have an agreement with Astrock Oy to proceed with the borehole probing and geophysical interpretation to the next phase. This consists high level geophysical sounding and a continuous high-resolution oriented images and video of the borehole walls. These results give us access to more detailed information on the shear zones physical appearance and dimensions in the Hautalampi area. The data will give us great confidence to geotechnical and hydrogeological conclusions and rock quality analysis. This is important for Eurobattery Minerals in the environmental permitting process for the Hautalampi mine project! Our work to start mining strategically important battery minerals continues.

Eurobattery Minerals featured in German documentary
With the Covid-19 pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, we have gone from globalisation to deglobalisation, geopolitical tensions and broken supply chains. This is highlighted in “Battle for the world – Germany and the globalisation”, a documentary film where Eurobattery Minerals is featured, alongside a range of important policymakers and stakeholders on a European and global level. The documentary has been produced by the German public-service television broadcaster ZDF – one of Europe´s biggest TV channels – and shows that there is a real risk that our future will be totally in the hands of autocratic states when it comes to raw materials. In essence, it´s a really good documentary if you are interested in understanding the role of Eurobattery Minerals as a provider of responsibly mined battery minerals and for the Green Transition in the EU.
Recording of the documentary at the Hautalampi battery mineral project
In this very interesting ZDF documentary, I share screentime with, amongst many others, Ursula von der Leyen (President of the European Commission), Stormy-Annika Mildner (Executive Director of the Aspen Institute Germany), Dr. Peter Buchholz (Head of the German Mineral Resources Agency Deutsche Rohstoffagentur), Philipp Hildebrand (Vice President of BlackRock), Ralf Brandstätter (Member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Group / CEO VW Group China) and Sigmar Gabriel (Former Minister Foreign Affairs, Germany). Eurobattery Minerals is proud to be a part of a greener and more secure future.
